The child’s hammock is made of a sewn kain sarong passed over a metallic or wooden triangular frame, itself
hung to a thick spring secured by a rope to a beam. It swings from side to side and up and down. It can be
hung at a resting platform in the padi field, in the market or at the beach, allowing the child to nap while his
parents are busy.
